Tilt shift effect
I can tell right now that I'm into experimenting and I guess that's a good way to keep from getting too bored at this point in my blog year. Today I attended an all-day Photoshop workshop and am overwhelmed with info. I've had this little tilt-shift app on my phone for a while and wanted to try it out. It works well with an overhead shot of something like a street scene, so I took this one of Brevard St. from the crosswalk between the Convention Center and the Nascar Museum where I parked. What a tilt-shift lens does is take an image and make it look like a miniaturized scene. For a dollar app it's fun to play with, but I'm sure I wouldn't invest in an expensive tilt-shift lens.
