Unexpected pleasure

Just got in a little while ago from working in a charity golf tournament - in the very chilly rain.  I was soaked to the bone and needed to warm up.  So, here on Aug. 21, a wonderful fire in the fireplace.  Yesterday was sunshine and vodka slushies and today is fireplaces and hot tea.

George with peanut!

Only those of you who know my hubby will appreciate this photo.  After more than a year, George got the go ahead from his allergist to eat a peanut again.  Since this is his very favorite food, this is huge!  So I just had to get a photo of him on the porch with this delicious peanut!

More rain

I can't remember the last dry day we had.  It's been rainy and muggy forever now and I'm running out of things to shoot in my house.  Here's a dismal shot of a dismal scene from our back porch....rain, rain, go away.....

Onion

Getting ready to fix dinner and no photo, so I set up a still life with the ingredients.  It looked too busy and I didn't like it, so in the end I just shot this one little onion.

Our usual Tuesday night at our favorite place in Charlotte - 300 East.  Just goofing around with my iPhone and my Hipstamatic app.  

Dancing shoes

Mondays are always hard days to get a good photo.  Meeting until noon today....driving back from BR and then dinner and dancing class with our friends.  I just got home and I'm hot and tired (salsa and cha cha will do that to you!).  I know shoes are starting to appear about as often as my cats, but I have no time or energy to be creative, and my dancing shoes were right here.....
