Mountain scenery

Today we drove around the mountains with our friends John and Claudia.  It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed visiting several villages and towns.  We came across a couple of grist mills and great barns.  The four of us all had favorites, so here are a few of the best of the day.  A good time was had by all....

Screened porch in spring

We drove up to our mountain house tonight, went to dinner and I came home and headed straight to the porch to read.  After a while I remembered that I hadn't taken a photo today, so I decided to take it of one of the most relaxing places I know....our screened porch in the mountains.  This is the first time we've been here since early December that the ground wasn't covered in snow, and being able to sit on the porch and listen to the river and crickets is just heaven.

I just noticed the date and so I'm celebrating 3 months of photography and blogging without missing a day.  Since I usually have such a hard time keeping anything like this going, I'm thrilled that I've made it for this long.  One-fourth of the way through and counting.....

Curious Suzy

I was spending some time learning Photoshop and looked over and saw Suzy looking at something out the door.  I liked the way the light was hitting her and the stark contrasts.

Cherry trees

I've been noticing these beautiful cherry trees at Freedom Park.  They are so lush this year, so I thought I'd get some photos while they are in full bloom.  Although the colors were wonderful, my favorite shots were these two.

What shall I read?

Tonight I get to choose a new book.  I always enjoy looking through our library to pick out just the right one.  It's such a wonderful dilemma...
