Grandmother's house

Today we took George's mom out for Mother's Day brunch and decided afterwards to drive over to Dover, NC to see George's grandmother's old house.  The house was built before the Civil War and has a great deal of history.  George spent every summer with his grandparents and has many good memories of his time there.  Unfortunately, the house now belongs to a cousin of his who lives in Jacksonville, NC and so no one is living there and, being abandoned, is quickly going to ruin.  I realized that George didn't have a single photo of his grandparent's homeplace, so I wanted to go there and take a few images before it started falling down.  When his aunt moved in several years ago, she added a ramp and resided the house with aluminum siding, so it's changed the character of the old place a bit, but it's still his grandparent's house and the place of many wonderful childhood summers.
