Happiness is a blue bottle - Eric, this one's for you!

Here are some scenes from our day.  The first is from our lunch.  There is a French rose wine we enjoy in a blue bottle (Clos Beylesse) that we can't get at home, and our friend Eric has shared more than one with us, so Eric, here's a toast to you....wish you were here!  The other photos are scenes from the rest of our day....the view from our living room, a couple of Anguillan churches and our breakfast spot this morning.

First taste

It's been a long travel day and we're just getting settled in our cottage.  I think we're going to be comfortable here (assuming the A/C works in the bedroom!).  This is a photo of George as we were waiting for out water taxi to take us from St. Martin to Anguilla.  A frosty Carib and a pretty good rum punch.

Panic attack

Whenever I pack for a beach vacation I always have a panic attack when I see my bathing suits.  It just feels so weird to think I'd put this thing on and go out in public.  But I know in a few days I'll be out on the beach thinking nothing about it.  Thank heavens for wraps!

Gingko in the night

Okay, this may be the lamest photo all year.  Very, very busy day trying to get ready to go on vacation.  It was after 10:00 when I remembered I hadn't taken a photo today.  So, this was a very nice gingko tree that has just turned to a beautiful yellow reflected in a light in the parking lot of 300 East.  Sorry for the crappy effort today.  I hope to be inspired by the beautiful Caribbean starting Thursday!

Leftovers

One of the great things about hosting a party is left over champagne.  Mimosas, anyone?

Family

Continuing my role as family photographer this weekend, here are some photos of our nieces, Marynelle and Lulu; nephew, Warren; George's sister Betsy and her husband Preston, and of course the birthday girl, Faye (aka George's Mom).
